The Africa School Games (ASG) is a visionary new initiative designed to uniteschools from across the African continent through the power of sport. A multi-day, multisport inter-school event created to provide a platform where young student-athletes can compete, connect, and celebrate excellence in a spirit of unity and healthy.
More than just a tournament, ASG is a movement aimed at fostering pan-African collaboration, cultural exchange, and youth development through sports. The event will feature a wide range of sporting disciplines—track and field, football and swimming, showcasing the diverse talents of students aged 9-15 from international private schools across Africa.
Our mission is to build a legacy event that places school sports at the forefront of continental development, creating lasting impact in the lives of students, educators, and communities alike.

Our Founders

Dr. Seun Akinbohun
Dr. Seun Akinbohun is a strategic leader and visionary at the crossroads of finance, events, and youth sports. As the Founder of The Athletics School Games (TASG) and Co-founder of The Africa School Games (ASG), she is pioneering platforms that empower students, elevate school sports, and drive talent development across Africa.
She is also the Head of Hospitality at Flytime promotions , Nigeria’s foremost entertainment company and creators of Rhythm Unplugged, the longest-running indoor music concert in West Africa. Through Flytime’s flagship Flytime Fest, Dr. Akinbohun plays a central role in delivering one of the continent’s most iconic December experiences—a major highlight of Nigeria’s cultural phenomenon known as “Detty December.”
Her professional journey began at Barclays Capital in the UK, where she built a solid foundation in global finance. upon returning to Nigeria, she held strategic positions at IBTC, and later at Leadway Pensure PFA, where she played a critical role in building the firm’s asset management division. At different times, she led the money markets, equities, and bond portfolios, managing assets exceeding $100 million as early as 2005.
Dr. Akinbohun continued her finance career at Capital Alliance and then became Head Of Product Development and Management at Oceanic Capital, where she successfully designed and delivered innovative financial products.
Following her distinguished run in investment banking, Dr. Akinbohun made a bold pivot into event planning and sports consulting, guided by a passion for youth development, community engagement, and structured athletic competition. Her flagship initiative. The Athletics School Games, has become a cornerstone Of school sports in Nigeria, fostering athleticism, discipline, and opportunity. Through The Africa School Games, she is now extending that impact across the continent.
Dr. Akinbohun holds a First-Class degree in Business Studies and Management, an MSc in International Banking and Finance (with Distinction), and earned a PhD in Business Finance by the age of 29—a reflection of her academic excellence and leadership potential.
Currently, she is focused on advancing sports lifestyle infrastructure, health and safety protocols at large-scale events, risk management, and smart access control systems, ensuring that public events and youth engagements are professionally managed,

Mrs Aderoju Ope - Ajayi
Aderoju Ope-Ajayi is a multidimensional corporate sales & marketing expert with over 20 years of experience in sales, strategy, management, business development and high-level negotiation in Nigeria’s telecommunications, banking, and Pay TV industries. She is a seasoned professional who has worked with brands like MultiChoice, Airtel, and, more recently, Access Holdings, where she currently serves as the Head Strategy.
Aderoju is also a sports enthusiast and sportspreneur who has invested time and resources in the sports industry.
She is the Founder of the award-winning Dolphin Aquatic Center & Swim School, a learn to swim & aqua-safety training school for individuals & corporates.
Her contribution to sports has earned her numerous recognitions. She was ap- pointed as an advisory board member of the International Swim SchoolsAssocia- tion in 2020. In 2021, she was appointed Vice Chairperson and Board Member of the Lagos State Swimming Association.
In 2022, she became a Charter Board Member of the Global Water Safety & Drowning Prevention Rotary Club. In 2024, She was appointed as President of the African Swim Schools Association.
Aderoju has received numerous accolades for her work as a professional and entrepreneur per excellence. She has been recognized as one of The Richer Woman’s 100 most impactful women. Additionally, Leading Ladies Africa acknowledged her as one of the 100 most inspiring women in 2023. She has also been featured on multiple media platforms, including Business Day and Vanguard newspapers. She is a high achiever and innate leader with a proven track record.

Dr. Busola Tejumola
Dr. Busola Tejumola is a content strategist and visionary, boasting a rich background spanning over 19 years in both the Media and IT industries. Her multifaceted expertise encompasses customer and media relations, information technology systems, consumer insights, and content production and strategy.
In her current rdle as the Executive Head, Genera West Africa at Multichoice, Africa’s leading entertainment company, Dr. Tejumola plays a pivotal role in shaping the storytelling and content deployment direction of SixAfrica Magic channels in Nigeria and Akwaaba Magic channel in Ghana, available on DStv and GOtv. Her responsibilities extend across diverse platforms, including linear channels, video-on- demand (DStv Stream, GOtv Stream and Showmax), subscriptions, and mobile platforms, solidifying Multichoice’s stronghold in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Recognized with numerous industry awards as a thought leader and contributor to the dynamic African entertainment landscape, Dr. Tejumola leads content strategy initiatives for West Africa, identifying opportunities within the creative industries. Her initiatives not only drive the sourcing and delivery of compelling local content but also significantly contribute to subscriber growth, ad revenue, and audience share across the African continent.
Dr. Tejumola holds a PhD in Management Information Systems and Computing from Brunel University and a master’s degree in management information systems from the University of Surrey. Her leadership has been instrumental in acclaimed editions of the localized reality show Big Brother Naija, and her strategic approach has revitalized the Africa Magic Brand, responding adeptly to the shifting dynamics of content consumption and setting standards for impactful content and channel development.
Forbes Afrique recognizes her among the Top 50 Women in Management across Africa, acknowledging her adeptness in leadership and organizational management. Dr. Tejumola’s commitment to content-led customer value management, leveraging data and local insights, has ensured enduring business impact. She has recently been elected as a distinguished member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, a testament to her exceptional contributions to the global television industry.
